Even more free training from ICOPS - Session 3 Further uses with Github

Dear Phytolith Friends,

As part of the new International Committee on Open Phytolith Science (ICOPS), we are providing training in open science tools. We are starting with 3 sessions on Github - a collaborative, project management tool used to run reproducible research projects with version control. It can also be used to link to archiving repositories and to make websites.
The first session - Basic Github course - took place on 11th February 2022. You can watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVsYTv4CG14
The second session - Collaboration with Github - took place on Friday 25th March 2022.
The video from this session will be uploaded shortly on YouTube.

All resources from these sessions can be found in this Github repository: https://github.com/open-phytoliths/ICOPS-training-2022/tree/main/Github

The third session - Further uses with Github - will take place on Friday 22nd April 2022.
It will cover making webpages, using repositories and project management boards.

The third session will run for two hours and will run twice on the same day with the same content.
Please sign up using the links below and choose the session at the best time for you - 9am to 11am BST (UTC+1) or 2pm to 4pm BST (UTC+1).
This training is open to phytolith researchers and also those in related fields. If you have any questions, do please get in touch with us.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Emma Karoune and Celine Kerfant
